Finally looked up the name of these birds that we commonly find around our place and Lily calls the "boat birds"... these are Grey Crowned Cranes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_crowned_crane that you will find in various fields and near marshes. I find it hilarious to see them with farm animals as they seem so exotic to me!
So blessed to have this playground made by the Roanoke team! It is loved much and repaired at times. :) We love it!
